Kim Michelle Lee

Hi there,

I’m Kim. I've spent most of my career at the intersection of marketing, creative operations, and delivery, working in-house at Meta, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Channel 4, alongside agency and freelance roles. I used to write the brief and go through rounds of feedback to get a designer's output right, and now that same work happens directly with AI.

Long before AI, I earned a Master's in Creative Advertising (Art Direction) with Distinction from Queensland University of Technology. That foundation shaped how I judge creative work, whether it's produced by a designer or generated by AI. Great creative comes from strong ideas and knowing what good looks like.

As generative AI evolved, I became certified as an AI Ops Lead with Relevance AI, and joined the first cohort of Lovable's SheBuilds. Jamey Gannon's AI Creative Director course helped me source and curate references before I prompt.

I'm someone who does the work. I can be embedded with a team to see where AI actually fits, not just recommending tools at a high level. That could mean helping teams build and test their own workflows, or handling the creative output directly: prototyping, mock-ups, asset variations, and pitch materials.

If it sounds like I could help, send me an email or shoot me a DM.

Here's a look at what I've been building lately…

Jun 2026ASOS flipbook — exploring the creative concept of a flip book brought to life through animation, one character, sourced outfits, animated in Seedance.May 202639BC — a beauty brand imagined entirely through image generation, product, character, and lifestyle, with zero physical shoots.Apr 2026Static to interactive — an interactive CGI explorer for a new-build development. Click through the home features, rather than scroll past a static image.Mar 2026Blueprints to a lifestyle brand — complete brand and digital presence for a property development, built solo instead of pulled together by multiple freelancers.Dec 2025Self-built to business-ready — rebuilt a property business's brand, copy, and website in three weeks.Sep 2025Rekode — launched a one-person studio, focused on AI acceleration to deliver websites and content.Sep 2025The information was there. Finding it wasn't. — turned scattered school PDFs and Excel exports into a mobile web app parents actually use on the school run.Aug 2025Fixing the feedback loop — an AI agent trained to think like a senior stakeholder, catching the simple stuff early so meetings are spent on the feedback that actually matters.May 2025An hour of research, in minutes — a sales copilot that turns a company URL and LinkedIn profile into a full pre-call report.Nov 2023Cyborg girl — my first exploration into AI imagery, later brought to life in motion.
